  • Mission Advancement—Secure philanthropic support to drive our mission of eliminating cornea blindness worldwide.
  • Global Programs—Focus on building capacity for eye banks in the developing world. By increasing the supply of corneas available, we'll be able to restore sight to approximately 10 million people worldwide.
  • Communications and Marketing

  • Referral Services—Assist donor families in their time of need through donation advocation. Play a central role in determining donor eligibility, supporting stakeholders and coordinating surgical recovery.

What is SightLife?

Founded in 1969, SightLife is the only non-profit global health organization solely focused on eliminating corneal blindness in the U.S. and around the world. Driven by an entrepreneurial spirit, the organization leverages innovative technologies and best business practices to transform lives and unlock life's possibilities for the corneal blind. SightLife works in partnership with surgeons and health organizations in dozens of countries. SightLife and its global eye bank partners combined provided nearly 17,000 corneas for transplant in 2013.

How do I apply?

SightLife regularly posts new positions and removes positions that are no longer open. If a position is no longer listed on our website, then we're no longer accepting applications.

I applied online but would like to follow up with hard copies of my resume. Where can I send these?

We are unable to accept hard copies of resumes or resumes via email. In order to be considered for a position, candidates must apply online.

What is your interview process?

It depends on the position. For most positions, the process begins with a phone interview. If there's continued interest on both sides, we'll invite the candidate in for an in-person interview. Each department is different and there may be some variation in the hiring process (some may involve an info session, observation, etc.).

Can I do an informational interview?

While we are not able to provide informational interviews, we do host group informational sessions for certain roles at SightLife. In order to attend an information session, candidates must first apply for a position.

How long does it take to make a decision?

Once we've completed interviewing all the candidates, we generally get back to you in about a week.

Does SightLife offer internships or volunteer opportunities?

SightLife does not have an internship program or volunteer program, although such opportunities are occasionally made possible in conjunction with a particular project. To learn about open internships, please search our current open positions. We regret that we are unable to respond to general inquiries about internships or volunteer opportunities.

One of the requirements of the position is a personal commitment to organ and tissue donation. Is that really required?

Yes, because of the nature and focus of our work, we require all SightLife employees to have a personal commitment to organ and tissue donation.

What type of benefits does SightLife offer to employees?
